/u/scratch file retention policy

Files placed in the /u/scratch filesystem are retained for a minimum of 14 days.

Files that have not been updated or accessed for more than 14 days are eligible for automation deletion by the system.

Files in /u/scratch are not backed up, nor are "snapshots" taken.
