I forgot my password - how do I change or reset it?

If you've forgotten your password to the Hoffman2 cluster, you may ask the account manager software (GIM) to reset it.

To retrieve your initial cluster password, perform the following steps:
1. Click on this link: Retrieve Your Initial Cluster Password and authenticate with your BOL username and password
2. You will need to supply the answer for your secret question. If you have already changed your initial cluster password, use the "Forgot Your Cluster Password?" link to reset it.
3. Follow the "Retrieve Your Initial Cluster Password" link to get your password for the Hoffman2 cluster.
4. Log in to the cluster, instructions for doing this can be found here: https://www.hoffman2.idre.ucla.edu/access/
5. IMPORTANT. Once you log in to the Hoffman2 please change your password to something more reasonable and memorable by typing 'passwd' at the shell prompt, additional information how to do this can be found here: https://www.hoffman2.idre.ucla.edu/access/change_password/
